Inside Line Promotions – THE WOODLANDS, Texas (April 18, 2018) – Tommy Bryant is chomping at the bit to get back behind the wheel of the SawBlade.com backed Cooper Motorsports machine.
The plan is for Bryant to make his season debut this Saturday during an ASCS Gulf South Region race at Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas, as long as Mother Nature cooperates.
“I can’t even put into words how badly I want to race,” he said. “It’s been a very, very, very long time. We finished last year strong and that has me even more excited to get going now.
“We’ve been busy getting the car ready after the races in Florida and Texas. I want to congratulate the Coopers and Brady Bacon on their win (April 7 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas). That has me more excited and determined.”
The SawBlade.com sponsored Cooper Motorsports team competed earlier this year in Florida with Tanner Thorson and John Carney II behind the wheel before winning a race earlier this month with Brady Bacon in the driver’s seat. Now it’s Bryant’s turn to put on his helmet, which he has done while driving for Cooper Motorsports since 2011.
“We have been together a long time and have put up some fantastic results and I think that will continue as we get racing the rest of the year,” Bryant said. “We will probably hit most of the ASCS Gulf South events and maybe some non-wing stuff.”
Bryant was victorious during his most recent race at Golden Triangle Raceway Park in September 2016.
“It’s one of my favorite tracks,” he said. “Now we just have to pray the weather helps us out.”
