26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (April 18, 2018) – Dale Eliason Jr remains undefeated on the newly constructed small track at Central Arizona Speedway after taking the checkered flags at Saturday night’s Cotton Classic.
The evening kicked off with Power 600 Series Wing Micro Sprint heat races where Eliason Jr advanced from fourth to third, earning the fifth most passing points and placing him on the outside of the front row after the six-car invert.
“We made a couple of adjustments following the heat race,” said Eliason Jr. “I knew if I focused on my race and my car and didn’t make any mistakes, I’d be fine.”
The Iceman did exactly that, after taking the lead on lap two, Eliason Jr worked through lap traffic without any issues. A late race caution that stacked the field back up would be the biggest challenge of the night for the fourteen-year-old driver. With the defending series champion in tow, Eliason Jr nailed the restart pulling away to secure his third victory of the season.
The Power 600 Series takes the week off before turning to action for their first Non-Wing event of the season on April 28th at Central Arizona Speedway.
Dale Eliason Jr would like to thank Affordable Powder Coating & Affordable Extreme Coatings, Custom Caretaking Plus INC, Guhl Motors, Industrial Machinery Services, PMP Chassis, Hamblin Motorsports, Radical Race Gear, and T & K Repair for their continued support.
