Inside Line Promotions – GREENWOOD, Neb. (April 17, 2018) – Last Friday was an eventful night for Jack Dover, who debuted a new sponsor and a fresh scheme on his No. 53 sprint car.
Dover welcomed Liquid Trucking as his newest marketing partner for the 2018 season, which began at I-80 Speedway during the Spring Meltdown with the Carpet Land Nebraska 360 Sprints.
“We’re very pleased to have Liquid Trucking as part of our program,” Dover said. “They are a big company with about 200 trucks. They haul almost everything as far as liquids go. You might see one of their trucks pretty much anywhere around the country so it’s great to have them want to be part of our team.”
Unfortunately, the night got off to a shaky start. Dover had a wing problem during both his hot-lap session and a heat race, in which he had powered forward from his sixth starting position before being unable to finish the race. That relegated him to the back of the A Main lineup.
“We had to put a wing on from someone else’s operation and it worked out for us,” he said. “We just made sure the car was tight and I was able to maneuver through the field pretty well.”
Dover rallied from 14th to earn a sixth-place result, which also garnered the Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars.
