26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (April 12, 2018) – Dale Eliason Jr collected the checkered flags on Sunday afternoon at Central Arizona Speedway, the sixth time he’s done so in his young Micro Sprint career.
“I felt confident going in the race knowing that I have the car to win,” said Eliason Jr. “We started fourth in our heat and made it up second on the first lap. It was really dusty, so it was hard to see in turns three and four, and I didn’t want to take any chances.”
Eliason Jr’s fourth to second advancement placed him fifth in passing points at the end of the heat races, placing him on the outside of the front row for the start of the feature.
The Iceman spent the first half of the race on the tail tank of the leader, but as they began to maneuver their way through lap-traffic Eliason Jr saw an opening out of turn two and took the lead. Eliason Jr continued to work his way through lap traffic as he extended his lead to about a straightaway en route to his second straight Power 600 Series feature win of the season.
Eliason Jr will enter this weekend’s Cotton Classic event at Central Arizona Speedway with a 43-point lead in the Power 600 Series standings.
Dale Eliason Jr would like to thank Affordable Powder Coating & Affordable Extreme Coatings, Custom Caretaking Plus INC, Guhl Motors, Industrial Machinery Services, PMP Chassis, Hamblin Motorsports, Radical Race Gear, and T & K Repair for their continued support.
