Fishers, IN | April 4, 2018 - Hoping to overcome the treacherous weather thrust upon the "Hoosier State" of late, the Clauson-Marshall-Newman Racing team plans to get back to the track this weekend as they load the Priority Aviation No. 7BC sprint car into the trailer for a trip to Brownstown Speedway. Competing in the 10th annual No Way Out 40 on Friday night, Tyler Courtney will be returning to a track that has suited him well throughout his career as he brings in three straight top ten finishes from the event. Also carrying in his momentum from two USAC National Sprint Car victories in Florida during February, "Sunshine" will be a strong challenger at the 3/8th mile facility as he chases the big $10,000 payday.

"I'm excited to get back into the sprint car this weekend, it seems like it has been forever since Florida," stated Courtney. "I ran second here at Brownstown last year and we have a really fast CMNR 7BC right now, so hopefully we can carry over that momentum and pick up right where we left off in Florida."

On the heels of a phenomenal debut with Clauson-Marshall-Newman Racing, Courtney heads to Brownstown on Friday night for his fourth event with the Fishers, Indiana based group. After opening the season with an 11th-place finish due to a cut tire, "Sunshine" and CMNR rallied the following two nights. Taking the Friday night and Saturday night score at Bubba Raceway Park, Courtney escaped Florida with two USAC National Sprint Car victories and loads of extra confidence for the CMNR team.

Not only does the team bring in the momentum from Florida, but Courtney brings in a great track record and comfortable attitude from previous events at Brownstown. In his four career No Way Out 40 starts, the Indianapolis, Indiana native has recorded three top ten finishes with his career-best of second coming last year. After an 18th-place DNF in his 2013 debut, Courtney reeled off consecutive results of fourth, eighth and second.

Scheduled as their only night of racing this weekend, the No Way Out 40 will serve as a standalone sprint car event for CMNR and Courtney before the Clauson-Marshall Racing midget team returns to racing next weekend. Set for a USAC National Midget Series doubleheader at Kokomo Speedway, the trio of Courtney, Justin Grant and Zeb Wise will strap back in as they continue their pursuit of the 2018 national championship.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

CLAUSON-MARSHALL RACING:
Race on. A saying that Bryan Clauson always related to his father Tim when our sport faced its darkest moments. It's what racers do, we continue to race on. Following Bryan's tragic passing in August of 2016, Tim Clauson and Richard Marshall never wavered when they formed Clauson-Marshall Racing. After unveiling a dream team at the 2017 Chili Bowl, CMR shifted focus to USAC. With a trio of Tyler Courtney, Justin Grant and Zeb Wise competing on the national level, the outstanding group will be chasing their first title together in season two. After a successful freshman campaign, the team will also be expanding to sprint cars in 2018 as Ryan Newman joined in an ownership role to form Clauson-Marshall-Newman Racing. CMNR will tackle the 2018 USAC National Sprint Car slate with Tyler Courtney behind the wheel.
