Inside Line Promotions – WOOSTER, Ohio (April 4, 2018) – Rob Chaney is looking forward to his second season of driving for CH Motorsports this year and he expects the team to continue to improve in 2018.

While the team owned by Aaron Call and Janet Holbrook saw its 2017 schedule of approximately 25 races hit particularly hard by weather cancellations, they still showed strength and speed in most of the 14 events they tackled.

“I felt like we started pretty well last year considering we were new together,” Chaney said. “There were only a couple of times that I felt we weren’t very good. Most of the time we were good and we got better as the year went on. If we can start where we left off last year, I’d feel pretty confident about our season this year.”

The team will once again run a limited schedule that fits the needs of its members.

“We’re looking at about 25-to-30 races,” Chaney said. “We’ll just pick and choose again – looking at schedules and seeing which races make the most sense for us to go to. It will be flexible for all of us, which is what works well for both Aaron and me.

“Aaron owns his own business and has busy times and deadlines where he can sometimes race and sometimes can’t. My son is in his senior season of track so I’m going to try to balance that and not miss too many of those events.”

A little more than a dozen nights on the track last year meant little wear and tear on the equipment.

“Since we didn’t race a lot last year our cars are in really good shape and I would put them up against anyone else’s,” Chaney said. “Aaron does a great job of building our cars. We got our motors freshened up so we should be ready to go.”

Weather permitting, CH Motorsports plans to begin its season this Friday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, during the 29th annual Core and Main Spring Nationals presented by Construction Equipment and Supply and Merrill Lynch with the All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads FAST 410 Championship Series presented by Ohio Logistics.
