Inside Line Promotions – COBBLE HILL, British Columbia, Canada (April 3, 2018) – Robbie Price has been patiently waiting to return to the track following a rough, but fast, start to his season.
Price moved forward in his heat race and made the feature redraw last month during the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com season-opening race, but a pair of early incidents in the A Main ended his night early.
Price gets a chance to get the sour taste out of his mouth this Friday and Saturday when he and BDS Motorsports will invade Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, for the Tony Stewart Presents the Vankor Texas Sprint Car Nationals.
“I’m confident Bryan (Sundby) will give me a good car to run there,” he said. “It’s a huge confidence booster that we were so fast in the opener. I don’t doubt the car because I’ve felt it’s capable of going fast. Having speed off the bat will make it way easier going forward.”
This weekend marks Price’s first-ever trip to the track.
“I’ve watched lots of videos on it,” he said. “You try to prepare as much as you can without being there.”
Price said his goal is to make the A Main both nights and advance into the feature redraw at least once.
“I know the car will be good so it’s up to me to learn quickly and make the best decisions I can,” he said. “It’s exciting to see a new track and test myself.”
