Inside Line Promotions – SIX NATIONS, Ontario, Canada (April 3, 2018) – Alex Hill is eager to continue her early season improvement this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway, a track where she gained confidence last year.
The 18-year-old has met her racing goals thus far this season by qualifying for the A Main during each race she’s competed in. The test will continue this Friday and Saturday when she returns to Texas to compete with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com during the Tony Stewart Presents the Vankor Texas Sprint Car Nationals at the oval in Fort Worth.
“I enjoyed driving at Texas Motor Speedway last year,” she said. “I qualified for the A Main by winning the B Main. Anytime you win a race at a track it helps your confidence when you return.”
Also bolstering Hill’s confidence is her performance through the first four races of this year as well as her new teammate, defending series champion Sam Hafertepe Jr.
“We’re off to a pretty good start,” she said. “We’ve run four races and made the A Main in each of them.
“I also feel I’m learning a lot by gaining more experience and from having Sam as a teammate. I’m happy with how we’ve done and I’m looking forward to us continuing to improve.”
Following this weekend, Hill will continue her quest for the ASCS National Tour Rookie of the Year Award by competing at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Ky., on April 27.
