Forsberg has five top five finishes so far this season and will continue his quest to find his way to victory lane once again this Saturday night. Throughout the year the driver known as Mr. Excitement has contested for the lead multiple times but has only finished as high as second place when the checkered flag waved.

Russell is also looking for his first feature win of the year with fourt top five finishes to his name. Former track champion Mike Henry of Sacramento is also winless this year at Placerville but ranks third in the point standing. The two drivers who have claimed feature wins round out the top five. Recent winner Shane Golobic of Fremont is fourth followed by Placerville's Jimmy Trulli, both drivers have a single feature win to their name.
