Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (March 27, 2018) For 2018’s third round of competition, the ASCS Southwest Region will see its first of two visits of the season to the high-banked Central Arizona Speedway in Casa Grande, Ariz. this Saturday, March 31.
Leading the way into this Saturday’s showdown, Colton Hardy holds an 18 point lead over Billy Chester with Josh Shipley trailing by only 20 markers. Tied for fourth, Jesse Baker and Alex Pettas have each earned 246 points in two events this season. Mason Keefer holds sixth with Steve Cushman, Jarrett Martin, Nick Parker, and Mark Clark rounding out the top-ten.
In the series last visit to the Central Arizona Speedway in 2017, Colton Hardy picked up his first ASCS sanctioned victory at the fairgrounds oval and is one of seven winners in ASCS competition in eight visits since 2013.
Saturday, March 31 will see IMCA Modifieds, Sport Mods, Pure Stocks, and Dwarf Cars in addition to the ASCS Southwest Region. The weekend will also include a kid’s Easter Egg Hunt. Gates at the Central Arizona Speedway open at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (MT). Admission is $15 with Seniors and Military admitted for $12. Kids 11 and under get into the grandstands for free.
