IRA's Wisconsin wingLESS Sprint Series presented by AutoMeter is unquestionably one of open wheel racing's biggest success stories over the past couple years. And the 4th year group just received an added boost. Gandrud Chevrolet (Green Bay, WI) has come on board as IRA's official Chevrolet Performance Headquarters. The series is based on two engine options, a build your own spec engine or the GM604 crate engine. IRA has a different take on the crate compared to most others as IRA allows them to be freshened and rebuilt.... though within specific specs. Gandrud brings a wealth of GM604 knowledge which will be essential to the series, but they are doing much more. Gandrud Chevrolet will be providing IRA a new GM604 which will be awarded at the 2018 awards banquet in a drawing among the 80% participation point fund eligible teams as part of the series' product awards. "I'm really looking forward to working with Chris at Gandrud, This gives IRA additional knowledge and a direct link to GM, while providing an exciting prize for one of our teams," stated IRA President Steve Sinclair. The 2018 Wisconsin wingLESS Sprint Series presented by AutoMeter opens its' 2018 schedule on April 21st at Beaver Dam Raceway in a show which also features the Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints. Wilmot Raceway is the Saturday night home for the wingLESS series, with other special events slated for Angell Park Speedway, 141 Speedway, and the Plymouth Dirt Track.
