Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (March 12, 2018) – The season opener in Central Pennsylvania was delayed for Trey Starks and Gobrecht Motorsports, who will now return to action with the Pennsylvania Posse at the end of this month.
The team had scheduled last weekend as its opening doubleheader in Pennsylvania, but saturated grounds forced the cancellation at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal on Saturday and it wasn’t worth the trip across the country for Starks, who attends college in his home state of Washington, to tackle only one night.
“The weather didn’t do us any favors and so it was a better decision for us to cancel the weekend entirely,” he said. “However, we have added a weekend at the end of this month that we previously weren’t planning on running.”
Starks and Gobrecht Motorsports will compete on March 30 at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., and March 31 at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pa.
“I can’t wait for us to get back on the track,” Starks said. “We got a few races under our belts in Florida last month and I want to see how that will help us once we start racing in Pennsylvania. Hopefully the weather cooperates and we can start racing again at the end of March.”
