Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (March 5, 2018) – Trey Starks and Gobrecht Motorsports will return to action this weekend in Central Pennsylvania.
The team is slated to compete on Saturday at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal and on Sunday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg during the season opener for both tracks.
“I feel like we made a lot of headway at both Port Royal and Williams Grove last year so I’m excited to get to both tracks to start the season in Central Pennsylvania,” Starks said. “We learned some stuff after opening this year in Florida last month so hopefully that will help our program get off to a strong start up here.”
Starks tackled both half-mile tracks more often last season than any previous year and he posted his career-best result at each oval last season.
A runner-up result highlighted four top fives in six starts at Port Royal Speedway.
“Port Royal has done a ton of work to improve their facility and race track the last couple of years,” Starks said. “We really enjoy racing there and I think we get better each time we get laps there.”
Starks scored his first career win at Williams Grove Speedway last season. He finished with two top fives and five top 10s in 13 starts.
“Passing can be tricky at Williams Grove so it’s key to qualify well during their time trial shows,” he said. “We did set our first quick time in qualifying there last year so I feel confident going back.”
