[i Media Release from Handy Racing Promotions]
[b PLACERVILLE, CA 6-26-10)–] The spectators that pack the grandstands at Placerville Speedway every Saturday night are notably recognized as some of the most passionate and enthusiastic race fans in Northern California. This Saturday will surely be no exception as "Windfall Night" at Placerville Speedway will raise the bar on fan spirit at the 45-year old race track.
Race fans, it's time to show your true colors, your passion and your enthusiasm in grand fashion. Why is this different from every Saturday night at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds? The answer is simple, because this Saturday night people will be watching and the top three fans that show their true "spectator spirit" at Placerville Speedway will be going home with some prizes.
Saturday's event features Red Hawk Casino Championship point racing on the track. In the grandstands, the action is sure to be just as interesting as Windfall Classifieds Incorporated will be participating in the night's activities. The area's newest classified newspaper has purchased some 100 tickets for Saturday's race and will be bringing a number of guests to the speedway that took the time to visit their booth at the recent El Dorado County Fair.
In today's economy, just about everyone needs a "Windfall" so this week, fans are encouraged to show their competitive colors in an effort to win a number of prizes which include T-shirts, special gifts from Windfall, gift certificates from Food 4 Less, Carl's Jr, McDonald's and Durango's restaurants and much more.
There are no specifics to Saturday's night of organized fan fun. As they normally do, Placerville Speedway will present numerous fan activities between events Saturday night and it's during those moments that kids, families and fans of any age may find themselves leaving with their very own "windfall." Additionally they will have their picture taken and it will appear in the upcoming edition of the Windfall Newspaper.
So break out the poster board kids and create a unique sign to show the support of your favorite driver. Slip on the foam finger, grab the crazy hair wig or slap on the checkered flag face paint and grab the cowbells. It's time to show everyone what fun is all about at Placerville Speedway Saturday night where the fans make noise when the track gets quiet and everyone has a great time no matter who wins.
"We have the most passionate fans in the sport hands down. I think they would entertain themselves even if we didn't even have a race," said Bill Sullivan of Placerville Speedway. "This place is where families can come and have fun. Our flagman is just as entertaining as that big mouse at the popular pizza chain and he doesn't even require a token to get involved with the guests."
Saturday night will be the first of three races in eight days at Placerville Speedway. Following Saturday's spirited Windfall Night racing returns Wednesday June 30th at Wild Winged Wednesday returns bigger than ever. It's the WTF Cup; Who's the Fastest at Placerville Speedway.
The event is a non-point race paying $3000 to win which is more than competitive Civil War Series race thanks to a healthy $1000 bonus added by Handy Racing Promotions and Riebes Auto Parts. Competitors will earn $300 to start the A-feature. No stress of points, it's sure to be an all star showdown for this event that features nothing by 360 cubic inch powered sprint cars.
Following the Wednesday night show that race fans don't want to miss, the week of racing concludes on Sunday, July 4th with the annual July Fourth Spectacular. Three divisions of racing will conclude with a fireworks display by Pyro Spectaculars courtesy of Handy Racing Promotions and the the El Dorado County Fair.
It’s a big week of racing ahead at Placerville Speedway and it all starts this Saturday night with Windfall Night. Winged Sprint Cars, Late Models and Pure Stocks will be joined by the Nor Cal Dwarf Cars.
