DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (January 27, 2018) - The expansion of the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by MyRacePass is not done yet as today officials have announced a new region to the series, the NOW600 Northeast Region.
Formally known as the Affordable Controlled Micro Sprints or ACMS, the NOW600 Northeast Region will promote the growth of Stock 600cc Micro Sprint racing across Pennsylvania and New York under the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series banner beginning in 2018.
"We can not believe how much we have been expanding in the past few weeks." said NOW600 Series Founder, Terry Mattox. "After the announcements with Mountain West, Mile High and Desert being sanctioned with NOW600, the great folks with the ACMS contacted us to help grow the Stock classes in the Northeast under a set of nationally used rules."
Being sanctioned under the NOW600 Series, the Northeast Region will follow all NOW600 car specific rules for Winged A-Class and Stock Non-Wing with the exception that drivers must be at least 14 years of age to compete.
“We are very excited to be joining forces with NOW600 to form the NOW600 Northeast Region. We know that this merger will help us continue the growth of affordable micro sprint racing in the Northeast.” commented NOW600 Northeast Region Coordinator, Sean Garman.
“I am excited to see that stock 600cc micro sprint racing will continue in Pennsylvania and grow stronger and bigger in the Northeast. It was my dream when I started the ACMS Series in 2011 in Pennsylvania that affordable 600 micro sprint racing would grow and this sure looks like the perfect solution!” said, Seth Garman founder of the ACMS Series.
Scheduling is underway for the NOW600 Northeast Region and will be announced as soon as possible. For now you can check them out on Facebook or on their new online home http://www.now600series.com.
