Clauson Marshall Newman Racing Proud to welcome Gene Franckowiak to National USAC Sprint Car team!
Fishers, IN December 21, 2017 – With our recently announced plans for the 2018 USAC National Sprint Car Series under the Clauson/Marshall/Newman Racing banner, we are thrilled to get the ball rolling as pieces of the puzzle continue to come together. Today, we are proud to welcome long time sprint car owner and non wing sprint car racing supporter Gene Franckowiack to the team, as he will provide the power behind the CMNR No. 7BC piloted by Tyler Courtney.
“Gene and I have been friends for a long time and have always talked about the day we would get together for an effort like this,” noted Tim Clauson. “In 2016, Gene was actually part of our Chasing 200 tour and in fact, we won five races with ‘Stitch’ under the hood. Rider Racing Engines are some of the best in the sport and have a history of winning with the wings on, but we are hoping to add to that history without the wings.” ~ Tim
Gene has a long history in the sport as both a car owner and big supporter of Non-Wing Sprint Car Racing. Working with Gene next year, we are excited to be a part of this next chapter in his story.
“I got to work with both Tim and Bryan in 2016 and we got to enjoy some success together, but it ended a little too soon,” said Franckowiack. “I believe in the mission and direction that Tim, Richard and Ryan are going and I’m really proud to be a part of this team.” ~ Gene
Clauson/Marshall/Newman Racing will make their debut in February at Ocala, Florida’s Bubba Raceway Park. Chasing the USAC National Sprint Car Series championship with “Sunshine” Tyler Courtney behind the wheel, the team will compete in 45 events nationwide.
Stay tuned to CMNR throughout the off-season and following the Chili Bowl Nationals, as we continue to release the exciting details of our new adventure with the USAC National Sprint Car Series!
