TULSA, Okla. (November 25, 2017) As the 2017 season draws to a close for the ASCS Southwest Region, the American Sprint Car Series would like to thank Roger Toops and his wife, Kim, as the Copper Classic marks the final weekend that Roger will be the ASCS Southwest Regional Director.
Roger and Kim have been at the head of the ASCS Southwest Region for the last seven seasons and announced ealier this year that they would be retiring from their post at the end of the season.
"When Roger and Kim stepped in, the Southwest Region was hurting and it's because of them that it has grown from about 10 cars a night to full fields at nearly every track they visit. They're fair, they enforced the rules, and above all Roger and Kim are just good people that we are all fortunate enough to call friends. I can't begin to put into words the gratitude we all have for the job they've done," stated ASCS Founder, Emmett Hahn.
As of now, tracks across the Southwest have already begun declaring their dates for the 2018 season. A new Series Director is being interviewed and will be announced soon.
