QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. (November 22, 2017) It all comes down to this weekend as the ASCS Southwest Region closes out the 2017 season with a Thanksgiving treat of Methanol and Mud with the second running of the Copper Classic at Arizona Speedway on Friday, November 24 and Saturday, November 25.
For the $2,000 and $5,000 to win weekend, and for the second year running, officials will also the format to include Qualifying with both nights paying their full points.
Looking to keep this record perfect, New Mexico's Rick Ziehl sits only 65 points behind Colton Hardy with both holding a strong track record at the three-eighths mile oval, but both will have to contend with a strong field of drivers as teams from as far away as Washington, Texas, and Oklahoma are on their way to Arizona.
Friday and Saturday get underway at 6:00 P.M. (MT) and include the NAPA Non-Wing Sprint Cars in their final battle of the 2017 season with Zach Madrid in the running for the title. Pit Gates open at 1:00 P.M. both days with Grandstands opening at 3:00 P.M.
Friday admission is $20, while Saturday is $25. Kids 11 and under get in free all weekend. Arizona Speedway is located at 47800 N.
