Meeting Notes:
We discussed and reviewed our racing operations during our annual meeting. Several topics were reviewed, including tech operations, points payout and race schedule. We will partner with the Z-Tech for our tech operations for 2018. Z-Tech attended 9 races last season where they checked cubic inches (pumped 13 motors) among other tech related items including tire durometer, right rear tire inspection, scaling cars for weight and other racing related duties. It was suggested to conduct more fuel testing during the 2018 race season.

The points payout and structure were also reviewed. The 2018 points fund will be approximately $10,000. This will pay the top ten in points and you must be a member of association to be eligible. However, this will not be tied to attendance percentage (In prior seasons, we required a car to attend 70 percent of the races scheduled.)

We will have secondary fund that will be associated with car attendance. To be eligible for the secondary points fund, you must be a member of the association and attend our scheduled races. You are allotted two absences during the season to remain eligible for the secondary points fund. The secondary points will be funded by our Hoosier Tire Sponsorship and any excess funds remaining after our operating costs are paid. If we have a scheduled race and run the show and a member of our association races at another race the same night, you will not be eligible for secondary points fund. This additional requirement was established to put an emphasis on attending our shows throughout the season. For example, if this qualification were in place during the 2017 race season, we would have had only three eligible members. The secondary points fund equaled $10,000. We would divide the funds evenly between the eligible members. In this case, each eligible member would have received $3,330.

We would like to thank our advertising partners who will be returning for the 2018 Race Season:
Carpet Land, Malvern Bank, EMI, Speedway Motors, ESI and Hoosier Tire. We appreciate the opportunity to work with our sponsors for a successful 2018 race season.

The 2018 schedule is posted on our website. This information is still tentative. We have not talked to NCRA so there is a possibility that a couple shows could be added to the schedule. Link to the schedule: http://www.nebraska360sprintseries.com/schedule/

Other items of discussion: Two race tracks are developing additional bonus points funds. Joe Kosiski from I-80 Speedway is working on an additional points funds for races held at I-80 Speedway. Also, Jackson Motorplex is working on bonus money. The four races scheduled at Jackson Motorplex will be $2,500 to win with $400 to start. We will update you once details and information are confirmed.

Coming Soon: Our website will soon be able to accept registration and annual dues. We will keep you posted on when this feature is available.
The Nebraska 360 Sprint Series would like to thank all who attended our annual meeting. We are looking forward to the 2018 Season.

Hope to see everyone at our Awards Banquet on Saturday, January 27th, 2018

Thanks,

Dennis Parker
