DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (November 17, 2017) - For the third time in series history a driver has claimed both stock class National championships and in 2017, Frank Flud added his name to the list by claiming both Winged A-Class and Stock Non-Wing divisions.
While running a limited schedule with the NOW600 National Series, consistency paid off for the Driven Midwest #81 with scoring 11 A-Main wins in only 14 starts.
Those wins in Stock Non-Wing include: Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas, on Feb. 17 and Feb. 18; Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla., on March 9, March 10 and June 1; I-44 Riverside Speedway in Oklahoma City, Okla., on May 26; Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Okla., on June 2 and Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan., on Oct. 21 and Oct. 22 – 3 wins.
Wins in the Winged A-Class were: Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas, on Feb. 17 and Feb. 18, Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla., on March 9, March 10 and June 1; I-44 Riverside Speedway in Oklahoma City, Okla., on May 26; RPM Speedway in Crandall, Texas, on July 14 and Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan., on Oct. 20, Oct. 21 and Oct. 22 – 2 wins.
Out of the 14 starts in the Stock Non-Wing division, Frank scored 13 Top 5's and Top 10's. In Winged A-Class competition, he went 14 for 14 in Top 5's and Top 10's.
During the 2017 season, Frank Flud also picked up both Winged A-Class and Stock Non-Wing championships during the inaugural #Sooner600Week.
