Clauson-Marshall Racing to partner with the Tony Elliott Foundation for 2018 Chili Bowl
INDIANAPOLIS, Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017– Clauson-Marshall Racing and the Tony Elliott Foundation will partner for a 2018 co-branded entry for the 2018 Chili Bowl on January 8 through January 13, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
“The Tony Elliott Foundation is excited to partner with Clauson-Marshall Racing for the 2018 Chili Bowl. For the third year, we will be assisting a driver and keeping Tony’s legacy alive for one of his favorite events of the year” Cindy Elliott, Tony’s wife. “We can’t think of a better was to raise awareness for the Foundation and the Driven 2 Save Lives campaign and celebrate both Tony and Bryan’s love of short track racing”
“We are very excited and humbled to represent the Tony Elliott Foundation at the Chili Bowl in 2018. For me the connection is personal as Tony was a great mentor to Bryan when he began his sprint car career and to get to partner with his foundation and to be a part of his legacy is humbling to say the least. I know Tony and Bryan are smiling down on us today.”
The Chili Bowl is one of the most prestigious races of the year and in 2017 had over 375 entries for the 31st annual event where several drivers from all varieties of motorsports over the years have competed including Bryan and Tony, Tony Stewart, Rich Vogler, Sammy Swindell and his son Kevin Swindell.
The Driven 2 Save Lives campaign through the Indiana Donor Network has registered over 6,000 people to date since Bryan’s passing. The Tony Elliott Foundation has assisted a number of drivers and race teams since being founded after Tony’s passing.
A driver for the Clauson-Marshall Racing/Tony Elliott Foundation entry will be named during a press conference at the PRI Show in Indianapolis in the coming weeks.
