Throughout the last weekend the team raced at Murray Bridge at the 2nd round of the Ultimate Sprintcar Championship. It was Ultimate Pink Night as we were raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness, it was great to see all females gaining free admission.
Quick Results from the night:
Qualifying: 8th in our group
Heat 1: Started 8th and Finished 7th
Heat 2: Started 7th and Finished 6th
B-Main: Started from 8th and Finished 3rd (Top 4 made the transfer)
A-Main: Started 19th, Was running as high as 15th, although was involved in unavoidable crash on Lap 8 resulting in a DNF with front end damage.
The team gained a load of confidence in the B-Main and already feel extremely confident with the car that we have underneath us. We have received many great comments about the car and the way it looks on the track under lights.
We take the confidence we gained and put our heads together now in anticipation for our next race on Nov 18th. This will see the team compete on the High Banks of Premier Speedway Warrnambool for the SRA Open 410ci Title. A track we enjoy going to purely for the fact of the raw speed that this place produces on the racing surface. Its a prestigious event too and we can't wait to strap in and get after it again.
Please see attachments for some wonderful photos from the weekend caught by Locky from Local Sprintcar Photography. You can see the moment on Lap 8 where we were the meat in an average tasting sandwich
