Inside Line Promotions – DELPHOS, Ohio (Nov. 1, 2017) – Shawn Dancer is traveling to the famed Textron Off Road World Finals this weekend at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., to finish off the 2017 season.
Dancer has never raced at the track before and is looking forward to getting a taste of a new place.
“I’m excited for Charlotte,” he said. “I enjoy racing new tracks. Plus, it’s the last race of the season and I get to see some friends one last time this year.”
Dancer is hoping to end the year on a positive note by making at least one feature during the three-day weekend that begins on Thursday, when qualifying will be held for the Friday and Saturday programs.
“Charlotte usually draws a lot of cars and the competition can be tough,” he said. “Hopefully we can put something together and make an A Main. If not, there’s always a good party afterwards.”
Dancer likes his chances to do well thanks to his success and comfort in his last few races.
“I feel like we’ve had something going on these last few races and we’ve been pretty happy with the car,” he said. “We just need the driver to step on the gas.”
Without help from sponsors, crew guys and many other people, Dancer said he wouldn’t be able to do what he loves all season long.
“I want to thank everyone that has helped us this year,” he said. “I couldn’t have done it without you all and I appreciate it.”
