McSpadden Classic Up Next For ASCS Southwest

TULSA, Okla. (October 4, 2017) Paying tribute to Arizona racing legend Lealand McSpadden, the second annual McSpadden Classic is up next for the ASCS Southwest Region at Arizona Speedway on Saturday, October 7.

In 2016’s inaugural McSpadden Classic, Arizona’s Billy Chester climbed through the field from eighth to score his second career ASCS Southwest Regional victory over a field of 21 with Bob Ream, Jr. and Colton Hardy making up the podium.

Rolling into the weekend, Hardy continues to lead the tour standings with a 74 point advantage over nine-time series champion, Rick Ziehl. Holding third is Lance Norick with Josh Shipley and Darrell Sickles making up the top-five.

Looking to keep up a trend of new winners, Josh Shipley made it to the top of the podium on September 16 to become the third first time winner on the season at the three-eighths mile oval.

Admission on Saturday, October 7 is $15 for Adults, $12 for Seniors and Military, and Kids 11 and under are free into the Grandstands. The night’s card also includes Pure Stocks, Sport Mods, Modlites and Bombers Arizona Speedway is located at 47800 N.
