Inside Line Promotions – FREMONT, Ohio (Sept. 25, 2017) – When you are 14-years-old and in your rookie season of sprint car racing simply making an A Main is quite the accomplishment.

Justin Adams made an impressive 18 features in his rookie campaign against arguably the toughest 305ci winged sprint car drivers in the country.

Adams recently wrapped up his 2017 season when he raced his way into the A Main on back-to-back nights at Fremont Speedway Sept. 15-16.

“To make the feature that many times, including directly through our heat three times, against the best of the best is phenomenal,” he said. “We had a rough beginning of the season, but we learned a lot as a team and I learned a tremendous amount as a driver. We kind of lost our setup in the middle of the year, but we found it here at the end, which has us excited for 2018.”

Adams opened the final weekend of the season on Sept. 15, when a fifth-place finish in his heat race earned the 13th starting position in the main event. He gained valuable seat time before placing 17th.

The following night a third-place run in his heat again transferred him to the A Main, in which he recorded another 17th-place finish.

“The car felt a ton better that weekend and I think I was a lot smoother,” he said.

There was a lot Adams learned during his rookie season.

“Never get down on yourself and keep working hard as a team,” he said. “Racing-wise I learned to hold my line and get faster every time out to earn respect from the other drivers.”

Adams said he is extremely excited about 2018 and building on his rookie campaign.

“We plan to change the car and possibly the number,” he said. “We have notes now and we know what we can and cannot do to the car. The team can have some fun in 2018 and I can relax and be more focused.”

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT – Behrent’s Performance Warehouse

Behrent's Speed Center, Inc. first started in 1972 when now president, Harry W. Behrent Jr. formed a general speed and tire shop aimed at the general automotive market. Then, in 1975 at the age of 31, with a desire to drive dirt stock cars, Harry changed his focus to the specialized oval track market. Driving cars and selling parts began to become too serious of a business for Harry. In 1982 a choice was now needed, and that choice was to focus on the parts and service market and leave behind a young and budding racing career. The switch to oval track specialty parts began. With the knowledge gained through driving cars and meeting very knowledgeable people, Behrent's Speed Center, Inc. grew to be a highly recognized business in the oval track racing industry, now known as Behrent's Performance Warehouse. Behrent's provides services and parts to the automotive racing industry. For more information, visit http://www.behrents.com.

“Behrent’s has been a huge supporter of my racing since I started,” Adams said. “They have been very kind to me and my family no matter what direction I’ve chosen to go in racing.”

Adams would also like to thank The Tackle Box 2, Woodville Mutual, KS Sales and Service, Simpson Race Products, BAK Technologies, Swain’s Excavating, The Joie of Seating, Kear’s Speed Shop, Design Graphics Group, Cool It Thermo Tech, Bee-ginings Farms, Behrent’s Performance Warehouse and Polter Real Estate for their continued support.
