Bellm Bags another Top Five; Ready for another Night at the Lake

Lonnie Wheatley, NIXA, Mo. (September 15, 2017) – Another night at Lake Ozark Speedway last Saturday netted another top-five finish for Kyle Bellm and the Resource Asset Management Solutions (RAMS) No. 14k Sprint Car team.

With his 16th top-five finish of the year in the books, Bellm and the PPG Automotive Finishes/Colorvision team will be back at Eldon, Missouri’s Lake Ozark Speedway for more ASCS Warrior Region action on Saturday night.

“We learned a few things,” Bellm said of Saturday’s go aboard the Kannady Racing Engines/Heidbreder Foundation Service machine. “Now we have to apply those to get back to some winning ways.”

Last Saturday’s effort started with a third-place heat race run in the VP Racing Fuels/Schure Built Suspensions entry.

Missing the redraw by just one position, Bellm gridded the feature ninth aboard the Christian County Collision Repair/Bybee Lawn Care mount.

Bellm worked his way forward in short order and was soon battling amongst the top five before encounters with a lapped car slowed his progress.

“I got bottlenecked by a lapped car,” Bellm says. “I jumped his right rear and nearly flipped it, that cost us a couple of positions.”

Bellm regained those positions in the closing laps and finished out the night in fifth.

“It was an okay night, we’ll just have to try to improve upon that this Saturday night,” Bellm sums up.

2017 Quick Stats: 31 races, 5 wins, 16 top-fives, 17 top-tens.

Up Next: ASCS Warrior Region at Lake Ozark Speedway (Eldon, MO) on Saturday night.
