Chanute Kansas (August 26, 2017) – After 20 cars signed in for the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League’s debut at Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kansas; it would be Steven Shebester claiming victory for night 1 of the Mo-Kan Shootout presented by Southside Mowers and All Metal Recycling.
On lap one of the A-Main action, the red would come out for Jake Rosario, who got upside down in-between turns three and four. After some TLC, Wesley Smith and Cannon McIntosh would lead the field back to green. After great green flag racing, the yellow would then fly for Cannon McIntosh, Joe B Miller and Austin Smith.
Wesley Smith would again lead the field back to green. After one last caution for Kory Schudy and Tucker Klassmeyer, Steven Shebester would now be in striking distance to take the checkered flags.
Top five for night one of the Mo-Kan Shootout was Steven Shebester, Wesley Smith, Grady Chandler, Matt Moore and Cannon McIntosh.
The POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League will be back in action for night two of the Mo-Kan Shootout at Springfield Raceway in Springfield. Missouri.
Tonight at Springfield Raceway, the two highest finishing Oklahoma based teams (tonight's finish only) will receive
1st place $300
2nd place $200
