Four Championships to Be Decided Friday at Jackson Motorplex as Holiday Inn and Greenmill of Fairmont Present Season Championship Night

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (Aug. 21, 2017) – Four track champions will be crowned this Friday at Jackson Motorplex as Holiday Inn and Greenmill of Fairmont present Season Championship Night.

It will mark the final points night for four IMCA classes – Heartland Steel RaceSaver 305 sprints, Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA a mods, Bohl’s Small Engine IMCA sport mods and Fairmont Awards IMCA hobby stocks. Midwest Sprint Touring Series 360 sprint cars and Heartland Racing Association non-wing sprints presented by HitchDoc are also on the program.

Kaleb Johnson heads into the finale with a 28-point lead in the Heartland Steel RaceSaver 305 sprints championship standings over Brandon Geldner. Shane Fick is 33 points behind Johnson and one point ahead of Trevor Serbus.

Mat Hollerich has a seven-point edge over Denny Anderson in the Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA a mods standings. Don Gerritsen Jr. is 28 points out of the lead and Kelly Shryock is 29 points behind Hollerich.

Matthew Looft is five points ahead of Dan Paplow in the Bohl’s Small Engine IMCA sport mods standings. Jason Andrews is only seven points out of the top spot and Kyle Steuber is 13 points behind Looft.

Justin Luinenburg leads the Fairmont Awards IMCA hobby stocks standings by a mere three points over D.J. Clinton with Ben Peterson 25 points behind Luinenburg and Corey Schreiber 54 points back.

Jack Dover is the only two-time winner during 360ci winged sprint car competition at the half-mile oval this season. Lee Grosz, Gregg Bakker, Thomas Kennedy and Derrik Lusk have also visited Victory Lane.

Saturday will be the sixth race of the season for the Heartland Racing Association non-wing sprints presented by HitchDoc. Brandon Halverson has two wins with Doug Schenck, Clinton Bruns and Alex Schriever also reaching the Winner’s Circle.

The pits will open at 4 p.m. with the main gates opening at 5 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $5 for students ages 13 to 18. Children ages 12 and younger get in free. Pit passes are $30.

Additionally, more than 100 bicycles will be given away to children during the event.
