After a week off Cottage Grove Speedway is ready to get back to racing and doing it right with 5 classes hitting the dirt. The racing won’t be the only thing bringing fans and drivers to the track this weekend though, Historical Night has become one of the biggest and best nights at the speedway as we honor all of the great people who have had a part in making this racetrack what it is today. Track historians, Curt & Denny Deatherage have been hard at work all year and will have some must see displays set up at the track as well as be inducting the 2017 “Wall of Fame” members. Todd’s Auto Body Sprints, Late Models, Mohawk Metal IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sportmods, and Quality RV Hornets will all be racing on Saturday and with the season winding down and the tight point battles in most every class you can bet the racing will be some for the history books as well!
Friday night the Go-Karts return to the little track as well and general admission for kart races is Free. Kart races start around 6. Friday night is a great chance to check out the future of our sport and Saturday we celebrate the past! What a great weekend to be at Cottage Grove Speedway!!
