Inside Line Promotions – ARLINGTON, Wash. (Aug. 14, 2017) – The 3rd annual Big Al Memorial Race is on deck at Deming Speedway.
The sixth-mile bullring in Everson, Wash., will host 600cc micro sprints, 1200cc mini sprints, 600cc restricted micro sprints and junior sprints this Friday and Saturday in tribute of Al Tschider, who founded the Big Al Kids & Motorsports Foundation prior to his passing in August 2015.
While the racing will be action packed both nights, there is a slew of additional activities throughout the weekend. There will be a chili cook-off on Friday before Saturday features a pancake breakfast at 8:30 a.m., a dunk tank at 11:30 a.m. and a live auction at 1:30 p.m. There will also be a silent auction and a driver’s helmet pass.
All money from the events will benefit the Big Al Kids & Motorsports Foundation. For anyone interested in donating to the auction, call Maria Lynn Nelson at 206-940-8692.
Racing will begin at 7 p.m. each night and the competition will include a Big Al Bonus. Five random numbers will be chosen in each class and the drivers in those positions will receive a $39 bonus in a tribute to Big Al’s favorite number.

The Big Al Kids & Motorsports Foundation was created to provide motor sports trips and racing opportunities for children battling life-threatening conditions and illnesses. There are six children – Hailey Bower, Christopher Lindor, Kelan Knowles, Kyle Felver, Dominic Carter and Dakota Whitlatch – who the Foundation currently helps.
Lindor will be running his specially equipped junior sprint on Saturday night. Carter will be racing the Foundation junior sprint both Friday and Saturday. Bower will have her Northwest Focus Midget on site for the fans to look at and she will be there as well.
