Franek Continues to Rule Delaware

Davie “No Panic” Franek continued his dominance over the state of Delaware picking up his 6th win of the season and his 3rd win of the Capitol Renegade United Racing Club 2017 season. Franek also picked up valuable points on leader Curt Michael for the 2017 URC Championship.

At the drop of the green flag, Chris Coyle looked strong aboard the Fred Kennedy owned 56 car, Franek who started in the 5th position was a man on a mission. Franek picked off 2nd place from Davey Sammons on lap six and set sail for the leader Chris Coyle.

By the lap 6 pass, Franek was over a straightaway behind Coyle. A lap 14 yellow put the driver of the 28f car on the back bumper of Coyle.

On the double-file restart Franek outgunned Coyle from the high lane overtaking the home state driver and never looked back. Starting in the 7th position, the Jersey Jet J.J. Grasso rode the extreme outside of the speedway to second in the waning laps, with Coyle, Sammons and Delaware’s Curt Michael filling out the front five.

It was a Delaware sweep in the heat races as heat wins went to the 5G of Curt Michael and the 56 of Coyle.
