I feel like I'm racing in two spots this weekend. I'm with Adam Mollenkopf and Sean Guthrie in Oklahoma City to run at I-44 Speedway tonight and tomorrow night in the non-wing mini sprint portion of the Ryan Craighead Memorial ASCS2 show.
The Hodges Automotive, Napa Auto Parts, Benic Enterprises, Wilwood Brakes 74x will have the Ortega Racing Wesmar Powerplant under the hood for the ASCS Southwest show at USA Raceway Park in Tucson, AZ. Josh Hodges was 3rd in Southwest points last year, rookie of the year, and was voted the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame 360 Rookie of The Year. After a tough run at the Devil's Bowl ASCS Opener he is looking for a great run tomorrow night to restore his confidence going into the rest of his season.
The Mollenkopf/Guthrie racing team has been working on getting a couple cars together and are ready to roll for tonight. They are looking for a couple good nights of racing to kick off their season, and get some great experience racing with the ASCS2 crowd.
I'll be posting results this weekend for Sean, Adam, and Josh so check back tomorrow and sunday to see how our local guys do this weekend.
