Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (July 18, 2017) – Danny Lasoski guided Mark Burch Motorsports to a podium finish last Saturday at Knoxville Raceway as the team prepares for a run at the 360 Knoxville Nationals title next month.
“Mark works his tail off and every time we get in the race car we seem to get better and better,” Lasoski said. “This is the first year we’ve been in Schnee cars. They are different than what we’re used to so you have to work with them different. We keep learning. We’re getting ready for the 360 Nationals and are improving step by step.”
The team competed in the 410ci winged sprint car division last Saturday at the half-mile oval, where Lasoski qualified seventh quickest before he advanced from fourth to third place in a heat race.
“Our qualifying result wasn’t where we wanted to be,” he said. “We just missed it a little bit. Mark got it pretty close for the main event.”
Lasoski started the A Main on the inside of the third row.
“On the first two starts we got really good starts and on the third one we ended up fourth,” he said. “The track was so narrow and heavy it was tough to pass. It’s never this way this late in the year. We gained another position later in the race to finish third. We’re not happy with third, but it was a step in the right direction.”
The third-place result was the team’s fourth top five of the season.
