Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (July 17, 2017) – Jackson Motorplex welcomes the return of the Midwest Sprint Touring Series 360ci winged sprint cars for a $1,500-to-win main event to this Friday’s program, which also features tight races in the championship standings during GDF Bobcat/Ag Builders Night.
Jack Dover has won two of the five 360 winged sprint car races at the half-mile oval this season as Lee Grosz, Gregg Bakker and Thomas Kennedy have also visited Victory Lane.
Kaleb Johnson enters this weekend with a 19-point lead in the Heartland Steel RaceSaver 305 Sprints championship standings over Trevor Serbus. Brandon Geldner is 21 points out of the lead with Shane Fick one point behind Geldner and Colin Smith only 25 points out of the top spot.
Mat Hollerich holds a slim four-point advantage over Denny Anderson in the Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA a mods standings. Three-time feature winner Brandon Beckendorf is 13 points out of the lead with Don Gerritsen Jr. 22 points back and Justin Anderson 35 points behind Hollerich.
Matthew Looft, whose four-race winning streak was snapped by Dan Paplow last weekend, has a four-point edge over Paplow in the Bohl’s Small Engine IMCA sport mods standings. Jason Andrews is only one point behind Paplow with Kyle Steuber eight points out of the lead and Jared Nytroe 22 points back.
Doug Schenck, Clinton Bruns and Brandon Halverson have recorded wins during Heartland Racing Association non-wing sprints presented by HitchDoc action at Jackson Motorplex this season.
The pits will open at 4 p.m. with the main gates opening at 5 p.m. this Friday. Hot laps are scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students ages 13 to 18. Children ages 12 and younger get in free. Pit passes are $30.
Additionally, the first 100 fans through the main gates will receive a free t-shirt.
