Indianapolis, IN - The POWRi Lucas Oil WAR East Sprints are set for a competitive weekend in the "Land of Lincoln" with two new venues for the growing league. Friday, July 21 the WAR East Sprints will be at the Champaign County Fairgrounds in Champaign, Illinois followed up on Saturday, July 22 at Spoon River Speeday in Canton, Illinois.
Friday's event in Champaign will be recorded for an episode of "Dirty 30" which will air on national television on MAVTV at a later date.
Both events will pay $2,000 to win and $200 to start. Illinois native Korey Weyant currenly leads the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR East points over Slater Helt, Terry Babb, Mitchell Davis, and Steve Thomas rounds out the top five.
Landon Simon and Weyant each have two WAR East wins so far in 2017 while Chris Windom has one victory.
