Official Statement From Nebraska 360 Sprints and Midwest Sprint Touring Series :
Last weekend at Jackson Motorplex we had an altercation in the pits after the races where one competitor punched another, It is clearly in the rules that under no circumstances this cannot happen.
Al thought it is not written clearly what the consequences are for this type of altercation.
After long discussions Dale Furby and Dennis Parker have had , along with other sanctioning bodies we have came up with a fine and probation. Of course each altercation is different but we felt that in this incident that a 500.00 dollar fine and probation for the rest of the season.
Now since this was a Co-Sanctioned race the money will be split between the sanctioning bodies and put in the year end points fund.
Being there is also a Track involved in this situation there could be more consequences from the race track (Jackson Motorplex)
Hopefully this makes a statement to all competitors that this type of behavior is not acceptable!
