PETERSEN MEDIA- For the second weekend in a row, Ian Madsen flexed his muscle as Knoxville Raceway as he again parked the KCP Racing No. 18 machine in victory lane at the Marion County Fairgrounds facility.

“It means a lot to come back and get two wins in a row at Knoxville Raceway,” Ian Madsen said. “Most of our partners are local to Knoxville, so it’s huge to run well for them too.”

Madsen would kick the night off by timing the Logan Contractors Supply/Aspen Aire/Royal Flooring machine in fastest in qualifying time trials before racing his way to a second place finish in heat race action.

Lining up in the second row of the feature event, Madsen would jump into third at the onset of the race as he chased after Brooke Tatnell and Justin Henderson who ran ahead of him.

Continuing to run in the third spot, Madsen would get going after a lap nine caution. Quickly getting into second when the race resumed, he would take the lead which he would never relinquish on lap 13 and cruise to the feature event victory.

Friday night, Madsen would be in action with the World of Outlaws at the Cedar Lake Speedway. Timing in eighth quickest in time trials, Madsen would pick up a second place finish in his heat race and become dash eligible.

Finishing seventh in the Dash, Madsen would line up seventh in the feature event. During the 40-lapper, Madsen would put together a strong performance and come away with a sixth place finish.

Thursday night, Madsen would travel to the Deer Creek Speedway to conclude a rain delayed feature event. In the 37-laps that needed to be ran, Madsen would run in the fourth spot until getting into the wall on the last lap and finishing 12th.

“Our big month starts this week, so to have the speed we have been having is making us all feel very confident,” Madsen said. “We will try to keep doing what we have been doing and hopefully find ourselves in the hunt each night.”

Ian and his KCP Racing team would like to thank Logan Contractors Supply Inc., Aspen Aire, Royal Flooring, Bobcat, Team Kline Electric, Greenland Homes, Team Excavating, TammyHeckart.com, Finer Cuts Lawn and Landscape, Des Moines Area Roofing, Quality Traffic Control, Bergen Paulsen, Coverage Direct, Monarch’s, and Revolution Race Gear for their support this season.
