Indianapolis, IN - For the first time in league history, the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR and WAR East Sprints will go head to head for a two-day showdown Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1. Kicking off Friday at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, Illinois followed by Saturday at St. Francois County Raceway in Farmington, Missouri.
The WAR Sprints traveled to Belle-Clair Speedway once in 2016 for their season opener where Joe B. Miller fought his way through heavy lapped traffic and close-call slide jobs to find victory lane.
St. Francois County Raceway hosted the WAR Sprints twice in 2016, and Terry Babb took home the winner's check both times having found a comfortable groove with his #8D machine.
Korey Weyant currently holds a 102 point lead in the WAR points over second place standing Wyatt Burks. Chris Parkinson sits third followed by Quinton Benson and Slater Helt rounds out the top five.
Weyant also leads the WAR East points in a tight race with Rookie of the Year hopeful Helt trailing by a mere 26 points. Terry Babb holds the third position followed by Mario Clouser and Steve Thomas rounds out the top five.
