Lonestar 600's presented by K & K Earthworks took on night #2 at Gator Motorplex. The carnage record from night #1 showed as the 600's check in with 14. And the Restrictors check in with a nice 8 cars. The 600's heat race winners would be Adam Miller and Blake Moeller. Restrictors heat winner would be Thomas Hall. A very fast paced night carried on. First out, 600's A-main event. Brandon Moeller and Raleigh Shepherd would lead the field to the green. A red would fly on the back stretch as Mike Walling would take off on a spin. Collecting Isaiah Garcia on the flip side. Both drivers check out okay. Garcia takes a spot in the infield due to rear end damage. Walling sets back out to play. The drivers set out on another green flag adventure. 3 laps in, red flies. Adam Miller would find himself on a instant roller coaster ride after contact with Bash Ferguson. Both drivers check out okay. Bash would return to the show as Adam retires. Back to green flag racing. Raleigh Shepherd wheels first place. But Blake Moeller stays close by. As they chased down the victory. Nice racing action. Until Blake makes his final move to snag it. A infield tire would end Moeller's night early. Raleigh would lead the entire race. Mike Walling and Brandon Moeller battled it out for second & third place finishes. Raleigh Shepherd Parked It in victory lane with a flawless victory donut. The car count may have suffered tonight. But the action provided did not disappoint! Next out were the Restrictor's. Maverick Elkins and Thomas Hall would show the field around the track. They would tighten up and get ready for the green to drop. As they came into Turn 4 Maverick Elkins would get on the gas to soon. The yellow would fly and Maverick would be penalized. This would put Thomas Hall on the pole. We would take the green and It would be a good start. Thomas would jump out to an early lead. He would set the pace and have the rest of the field chasing him. Thomas would find himself closing in on lap traffic quickly. He would run into one of the lapped cars causing a caution. He would relinquish his lead to Maverick Elkins as Thomas would have to fall to the back. Maverick would lead the rest of the race and put his #25 in victory lane for the 3rd time in a row in 2 race weekends. Who is going to break Mavericks streak?
Dragonfly Aviation Hard charger award goes to Jarred Maupin. Passing a total of 7 cars. Pulse Racing Innovations EZ tear system award goes to Geoff Youngblood. We from the Lonestar 600's would to thank each and every person who attended our events. It's been a long weekend. Yet filled with great memories & many lessons. Next race is June 24th at Gulf Coast Speedway. Non wing 600's & Restrictors are on the books to hit the fastest little track in Texas.
