Last night the Lonestar 600's presented by K&K Earthworks took it down to Bronco Motor Speedway for night #1. Clocking in with 30 600's & 6 Restrictors on a Friday night. 600's car count making them the biggest class of night. Heat winners would be Isaiah Garcia, Luke Lucas, James McNeil, & Mike Walling. Restrictors heat winner would be Christopher Townsend. With a few hiccups in the show due to radio connections & flaws of a newly re-opened track. We finally made it to the features. First on the track, 600's B-main. Locking the top 8 to finish out the 24 car A-main event. They would find themselves on a dusty set surface after the water truck malfunctioned earlier in the night. During the B-main, a wreck would occur. Involving fuel being left on the racetrack surface. A flip would occur in turn 3. As well as 2 more flips in turn 1. Shout out to the Lonestar 600's Ultrashield Safety Crew for being prepared & ready to take on all tasks at hand. They spread out across the track & made sure all drivers were safe. Cleared the track and repaired the track surface due to the fuel spill. As well as teaming with the track safety crew. They grouped to manage all tasks & get the track cleared safely. Just one of the many highlights they deserve. Once all was cleared, Brandon Moeller would find himself taking the checkers to start the trail into the A-main event. Restrictors A-main enters the track next. Landen Zakalowski would lead the boys to the green. Timothy Watson would retire early due to motor issues. The Restrictor race would get intersting. As every car would have the chance at the lead. But just for 1 lap each. As they switched postions. Only to find Maverick Elkins on the hunt for a feature win. Elkins put back to back weekend feature wins under his belt. 1:30am checks in. The 600's finally make it to the saught out race track surface. Luke Lucas & Caleb Martin set the pace for the 24 car field. Green would fly, only to be switched to a red flag. A flipping, Albert Kelley & Dewey Townsend. Drivers check out okay. Kelley would be done for the night. As Dewey would be able to finish competing. Lined back up and 2 more tried attempts would occur. But not fulfilled due to cautions. On lap 10, suddenly a destruction derby would break out. Involving 6 total cars & 3 flipped. Kary McCord, team mate Randall McCord & John McAfee would meet their lids. All drivers involved would be safe. From here out, Luke Lucas took the race from green to checkers. Putting himself in victory lane. A glorious victory donut & we would be officially done with the night! The DragonFly Aviation Hard Charger would be Brandon Moeller passing 11 cars. Thank you to all of our racers, crews, officials, family & fans for sticking out the long night. Now we gear up for night #2 at Gator Motorplex. A always fun, fast paced track! Who's taking home the Win tonight? We shall see soon! See you all at the track!
