Inside Line Promotions – FORNEY, Texas (June 13, 2017) – Travis Rilat has a busy week on tap as he’ll drive two different sprint cars with two different series in two parts of the country.
The action begins on Tuesday at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, where he will pilot his sprint car during the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour’s Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek event. Rilat scored a ninth-place result with the series at the famed half-mile oval earlier this season to extend his top-10 streak at Devil’s Bowl Speedway to 13 straight seasons.
“We have a lot of laps around Devil’s Bowl,” he said. “We got behind the eight ball there a couple of months ago, but had a strong rebound in the main event to go from 18th to ninth place. Hopefully we’ll start Tuesday’s show with as good of a race car as we ended the one in March with.”
Rilat will then fly to Montana to drive for Richard Saumure on Friday and Saturday at BMP Speedway in Billings for the Harvey Ostermiller Special with the NSA Series.
“I like racing in Montana and at BMP Speedway,” Rilat said. “We’ve won a few races over there. It’s a relaxed setting and always a blast racing in that part of the country.”
Rilat and Saumure won their most recent race together – also in Montana – on May 20 at Electric City Speedway in Great Falls with the NSA Series.

As far as his engine skills go, he’s one of the best in the country. There’s only a handful of great engine builders across the country and I consider him one of the best.”
