Play hard, Work Harder

This weekend was not a good one in the books for the 18 car; Started off the weekend in Greenbush, heat 1 row 3 on the inside. The car was only able to make 1 lap before having to pull of the track. Thinking the car was getting too much fuel, swapped a few things around in time for the feature where the 18 car would start row 7 inside. Unfortunately the 18 car was only able to make 2 laps this time before pulling off the track again. At this time we are suspecting there could be an issue with the power switch and the fuel rail may be upside down. Were able to get a new switch from Kyle Cole, driver of the 16 car and a fuel regulator for Bob Mullen owner of the 11M. Packed up the trailer and headed home.

Sunday morning after spending a few hours putting in the new power switch and swapping the fuel rail to be on correctly the car seemed to be running great after a few test laps. Off to Glyndon we go! The 18 car would start heat 2, row 3 on the inside. One lap completed and the car was back to doing the same thing as Saturday night, resulting in a DNF again. Back at the trailer a few wires were swapped around and at this point the car wouldn't even start which resulted in a DNS for the feature. Fortunately enough some time after the feature was completed the wiring problem was figured out and the car was running again.

What everyone thought was a fuel issue has turned out to be a possible few internal problems. Low compression, the valves were looked over and seem to be okay. Thinking there are some bad rings on the pistons. With that being said the motor will have to be tore down completely and gone through.

A huge thank you to all the fans for the support this weekend and as always thank you to the sponsor of the 18 car that are helping make this season possible. We are hoping to get the car ready to rock and roll this weekend, hope to see you out at Greenbush on Saturday and Glyndon on Sunday!
