22 Wisconsin wingLESS Sprints presented by the IRA drivers signed in for action Saturday at Wilmot Raceway.
Point leader Jordan Mattson set quick time over veteran driver Tim Cox. Chris Klemko was 3rd with Nick Petska in 4th. Inaugural wingLESS champion Doug Schenck was 5th.
Heat race 1 saw Mattson drive his Lein Acres 2 machine from the 4th starting spot to the lead, and the eventual win. Behind Mattson, a pair of former winged drivers ran 2nd and 3rd with Jimmy Sivia ahead of Allen Hafford. Petska came home in 4th ahead of 5th place finishing Craig Lager.
Heat 2 was won by Tim Cox over Nathan Crane. Schenck ran 3rd over James Walldan and Rod Colburn in 4th and 5th respectively.
Heat 3 saw Derek Crane drive his Peapod 91 car to victory over George Gaertner Jr. Craig Campton brought his 7s machine home in 3rd over the 15 of Dan Wade. Series new comer Travis Mahoney finished in 5th.
The A main saw Schenck take the early lead, but by lap 4 Mattson had drove around the green and black 71s and set his sights on victory. As the checkered flag fell Mattson was standing victorious, and had swept the night. Cox moved into 2nd by the final lap, ahead of 3rd finishing Schenck. The brothers Crane rounded out the top 5, with Derek finishing 4th and Nathan in 5th.
