TULSA, Okla. (June 6, 2017) The ASCS Mid-South Region is back in action this weekend as the Arkansas based series heads for two of the state’s most prolific ovals with Batesville Motor Speedway on Friday, June 9 and Riverside International Speedway on Saturday, June 10.
The only Sprint Car show on the lineup at Batesville in 2017, the last time Sprint Car ran the three-eighths mile oval was 2015 with Derek Hagar picking up the win. Leading up to Friday’s event, the track will host an open practice on Thursday, June 8 from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
Friday, June 9 gets underway at 7:30 P.M. (CDT) with Hot Laps and includes IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks, and FWD. Information Batesville Motor Speedway can be found online at http://www.batesvillemotorspeedway.net as well as the track’s Facebook page.
Riverside International Speedway on Saturday, June 10 begins at 6:30 P.M. (CDT) with Hot Laps. More information Riverside can be found at https://www.riversideinternationalspeedway.com. This weekend’s trip to both Arkansas’ ovals is the first for the ASCS Mid-South Region.
The return of the ASCS Mid-South Region, the 2017 season started with a star studded night of racing at I-30 Speedway on April 1 with Derek Hagar picking up the win ahead of Brian Bell and Zach Pringle. The series returns to I-30 Speedway on July 29.
The 2017 season marks the 26th year of competition with the American Sprint Car Series. With over 150 dates, the American Sprint Car Series is spearheaded by the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series National Tour presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network. Along with the National Tour, fans can find ASCS action across seven regional tours that make up the ASCS Nation.
