Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (June 5, 2017) – Jackson Motorplex has a unique event on tap this Friday when the half-mile oval will showcase five classes of race cars prior to hosting a concert that is presented by State Bank of Fairmont.
Hairball is scheduled to go on stage immediately following racing (approximately 10 p.m.) for a two-hour concert. Fans will be allowed on the track once racing has been completed.
The on-track action is scheduled to begin with hot laps at 7 p.m. with racing to follow.
The Midwest Sprint Touring Series 360 sprint cars, Heartland Steel RaceSaver 305 Sprints, Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA a mods, Bohl’s Small Engine IMCA sport mods and Fairmont Awards IMCA hobby stocks are tabbed to compete.
Jack Dover captured two out of the three 360ci winged sprint car shows last weekend, including the finale, during the 39th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals while Bruce Anderson, Ben Woods and Brady Forbrook each won a Heartland Steel RaceSaver 305 Sprints main event during the marquee event.
Kaleb Johnson enters this weekend with a nine-point lead over Forbrook and a 13-point lead over Shane Fick in the Heartland Steel RaceSaver 305 Sprints championship standings.
Kelly Shryock holds a three-point advantage over Mat Hollerich with Oliver Kollofski only six points out of the top spot in the Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA a mods standings.
Dan Paplow is on top of the Bohl’s Small Engine IMCA sport mods standings with Jason Andrews and Kyle Steuber tied for second – two points behind Paplow.
Justin Luinenburg enters this weekend leading the Fairmont Awards IMCA hobby stocks standings by five points over Dj Clinton and Ben Peterson, who are tied for second.
Event tickets, which are good for both the race and concert, are $20 per person for ages 13-years-old and older. Children ages 12-years-old and younger get in free.
