Numerous Activities on Tap for AGCO Jackson Nationals Next Week

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (May 25, 2017) – The 39th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals kicks off next week with a variety of activities in addition to the on-track festivities.

The excitement begins on Wednesday night from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. when Main Street in Jackson will showcase Town & Country Days with free hot dogs. There will be an open house at the race track from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. that night offering $1 beer specials, a chance to get event tickets, suite tours, music and more.

Racing begins on Thursday for the first of three straight nights of action featuring the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, the Upper Midwest Sprint Car Series, the Midwest Sprint Touring Series, the Nebraska 360 Sprints and the Heartland Steel RaceSaver 305 Sprints each night.

“Winged Nation” will broadcast a live pre-race show each night from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with interviews behind the grandstands.

AGCO will host an open house on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Drivers committed to being there for autographs include Kerry Madsen, David Gravel, Brian Brown, Aaron Reutzel and Lee Grosz with his grandfather, Doug Howells. A meal including a pork burger, chips and drink for only $3 is available and all proceeds raised will go directly to “Jackson County Food 4 Kids.”

An all-you-can-eat East Lions Pancake Feed will take place at the Fairgrounds Cattle Building by the water tower from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-years-old to 12-years-old.

Saturday morning will also feature the Town & Country Day Parade throughout downtown Jackson beginning at 11 a.m. Madsen will serve as the Grand Marshall.

The bean bag tournament at the track starts at 1 p.m. that afternoon with the Women’s Vendor Fair running from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the blue building on the fairgrounds.

Jackson Motorplex has an event on tap this Friday when the half-mile oval will showcase five different divisions of race cars during the 4th annual Danny Williams Memorial presented by Peterbilt of Sioux Falls.

A $3,500 top prize is up for grabs in the 410 Outlaw Sprints Fueled by Casey’s General Store class and the winner of the Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA a mods main event will receive $1,000. The Heartland Steel RaceSaver 305 Sprints, Bohl’s Small Engine IMCA sport mods and Fairmont Awards IMCA hobby stocks are also competing.

The pits will open at 4 p.m. with the main gates opening at 5 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for seniors ages 62 and older and $10 for students ages 13 to 18. Children ages 12 and younger get in free. There is family pass, which includes two adults and up to three students, for only $45. Pit passes are $30.

The night is in memory of longtime fan Danny Williams, who spent a lot of time in the 1980s and 1990s working on race cars. He passed away in September of 2013.
