Inside Line Promotions – OWASSO, Okla. (May 18, 2017) – The 2nd annual Midget Round Up will kick off next week with numerous festivities throughout the community that surrounds Airport Raceway in Garden City, Kan., which hosts the marquee TBJ Promotions event on May 27-28.
Next Friday (May 26), meet and greets featuring drivers and race cars will be held at Jax Sports Grille, Burtis Motors, Peerless Tires, Oil Alley and Chappel Liquor from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Following the meet and greets, the drivers and teams will converge at Jax Sports Grille for a pre-race party. Fans are invited to the meet and greets as well as the pre-race party.
“The community is very involved in the 2nd annual Midget Round Up,” TBJ Promotions Founder Tony Bruce Jr. said. “We encourage the fans to check out the meet and greets as well as the pre-race party for an opportunity to meet some of the drivers in a relaxed environment away from the track.”
The action on the track heats up on May 27-28 when the bullring will showcase the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget Series and the Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Association during a $2,000-to-win midget main event each night.
The Colorado Lightning Sprints and non-wing micro sprints, which will compete for the $1,000-to-win top prize each night, are competing as well. Front gates are scheduled to open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m. each night.
