For the first time in Park Jefferson History, 6 IMCA classes will take to the Union County oval as the IMCA Sprint cars joing the Modifieds, Stock Cars, Sport Modifieds, Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts for a IMCA Six Pack on Turner Plumbing Night.
The IMCA RACEsaver Sprint class was formed by French Grimes as a way to revive sprint car racing in Virginia. With a controlled engine package, the RACEsavers have become the fastest growing IMCA class in the country. The series is now based out of Eagle Nebraska and has over 25 weekly tracks across the country. “We were thrilled when Jim Stannard called us in January and let us know that we had been selected to begin hosting the RACEsaver Sprint Class. This division is growing and with engines that cost between $8,000-$10,000 and race ready cars only costing $18,000, this division is the perfect opportunity for some of our younger drivers to move up. It is cost affordable, the engines last 3-4 years before a tuneup, and the racing action on the track is fabulous.” stated owner Adam Adamson. The Keizer Wheels Championship Sprint division will be taking the week off to give the RACEsavers prime exposure for the week.
After hosting 2 weeks of events focused on the Road to the Iron Cup, Park Jefferson will now take a few weeks off before June 10ths event for the next Road to the Iron Cup.
