PREVIEW: Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 Sooner 600 Week

DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (May 15, 2017) – The Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass is set for the most anticipated week of outdoor micro sprint racing next week, the Sooner 600 Week.

Sooner 600 Week features six nights of action across a nine day stretch at dirt tracks across the Sooner and Sunflower states.

Things will get kicked off on Friday, May 26 and Saturday, May 27 during the Fallen Racers Memorial at I-44 Riverside Speedway in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It will be the series’ return to the red clay oval since April of 2014.

After a couple days off for teams to enjoy the rest of their memorial day weekend at the lake and with family, racing action for Sooner 600 Week will continue on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 with a trip to the state of Kansas for the first time since the series’ inaugural event in June 2013 at Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kansas.

Thursday night the Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micros will make their final appearance atop the Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Oklahoma as Series Founder, Terry Mattox will be promoting the event on Thursday, June 1. Creek County is in the Tulsa hot bed of micro sprints with the recent closure of Port City Raceway and always proves to be a barn burner of event.

A new venue on the National Tour slate lays between Tulsa and Oklahoma City off Interstate 44. Meeker, Oklahoma’s Red Dirt Raceway will play host to the fifth night of competition for the Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micros during Sooner 600 Week on Friday, June 2. The facility once a 3/8 mile, was bought over the off season by Choctaw native, Cody Brewer who since cut the track down to a racy quarter-mile oval.

What better way to close the curtain on the inaugural week of speed for the Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micro Series than at the nation’s largest and premier facility, #SlideJobCity I-44 Riverside Speedway in Oklahoma City will play host to the finale of Sooner 600 Week on Saturday, June 3.

Featured classes on Sooner 600 Week include, Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Stock Non-Wing, Winged A-Class, and Restricted ‘A’ Class.
