Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (May 2, 2017) – Jack Dover has been dominant at the two tracks he is invading this weekend.
Dover has earned a combined 16 wins since the start of the 2013 season at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., and at Park Jefferson International Speedway in Jefferson, S.D.
“Getting a win or two this weekend would be huge,” he said. “The way our year has been I’d be happy with top fives. I think we’ll be way better this week because we were trying some new shocks and I think that had to do with our performance this year. We went back to our shock package last year and we tore the car apart last week to make sure everything was how it’s supposed to be and it’s 100 percent now. Just having the confidence now I think we’ll be 20 times better.”
Dover is slated to tackle I-80 Speedway on Friday for the Bobby Parker Memorial with the Carpet Land Nebraska 360 Sprints. He has 11 wins, 17 podiums and 21 top fives in 29 races during 360ci winged sprint car competition at the track during the last four-plus seasons.
“That is one of our home tracks and we always look forward to racing there,” he said. “We’re very comfortable there and have seen the track in all different stages so we know what to expect.”
He finished fourth in his most recent race at the high-banked track earlier this season.
Dover will then venture to Park Jefferson International Speedway on Saturday. He placed ninth at the oval last month, but has won five of his last eight races there.
“We didn’t have as good of a finish the last time out, but I think that had something to do with fighting the shocks,” he said. “I’m going into this weekend with more confidence and since I think we lined out our issues we should be a contender.”
